Teen Lock In

LAK Youth Programs

ALL JBSA youth ages 13-18 are invited to join Youth Programs for a night of fun. The cost for this lock-in is $35 per youth. Transportation will be provided to the lock-in from FSH/RND Youth Programs. Sign up in CYPBMS by Sept. 5 to reserve a slot for a night of fun. Kalahari Water Park Trip

Youth Ages 9-19 are invited to join JBSA Youth Programs to visit the #1 rated indoor water park, Kalahari Resort in Round Rock, TX. Weekend Camping Trip @ Canyon Lake

Recreation Park @ Canyon Lake

Join us for a family, adventure filled weekend soaking up the sun and fun at JBSA Recreation at Canyon Lake. Participants will check-in to the lake Friday evening from 1-7 p.m. with a check out of Sunday morning by 11 a.m. Campers will be staying in the new bungalows. Saturday will feature fun on the water with three pontoons ready to take families out on the water as well as a scheduled Sunset Cruise that evening. For those not wanting to venture out on the pontoons, there will be paddle equipment on the beach for families to use. As the day winds down, guest will be treated to a spectacular Star Gazing experience of the solar system and beyond through powerful telescopes. For a special treat, guests will join the staff for a scrumptious Dutch oven dessert - sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. This is an R4R event with no cost for active-duty military members and their families only. It is first-come, first serve and limited spaces are available. Family Camp-out

Recreation Park @ Canyon Lake

Family Campout Oct. 14-15 • 9 a.m. on Saturday to noon on Sunday Temperatures have cooled so come out for some great camping with your family at Canyon Lake and participate in group activities supporting science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. First Steps Basketball Registration

Children ages 3-4 learn the fundamentals of basketball in a non-competitive/team format developmental program. Parents are required to participate as an extension of the instructor. The cost is $40- per child. A current physical, immunizations record and flu vaccine are required at the time of registration. Season begins in December. Please register in CYPBMS by Oct. 29. Red Cross Babysitters Training

Red Cross Babysitting Training April 13 • 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Youth Programs is offering Red Cross Babysitting Training at Randolph and Lackland Youth Programs for $40 for youth ages 11 and older. Training will cover basic care for infants and children, basic first aid, child behavior, age-appropriate activities, emergency protocols, professionalism and leadership.
