Bingo takes place in the Ballroom every Monday through Thursday at 7 p.m., every Sunday at 3 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 9 & 23 at 3 p.m. Admission is free for members and $10 for nonmembers. Members have a chance to win the full jackpot and nonmembers a half jackpot.

Register for the School-Age Spring Break Camp starting Feb. 11 until the camp is full. The actual camp runs from March 11-15 from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can request a spot by going to militarychildcare.com. Fees are based on total family income and all required paperwork must be on file in advance to include immunization records with a flu vaccination. Program is open to ages 5-12 (K-6 grade).

JBSA-Randolph Youth Programs and the Child Development Programs give parents a much needed break through the Give Parents a Break or Parents’ Night Out program. The cost is $25 per child with a multiple-child discount or free with a Give Parents a Break referral. Deadline to register is Wednesday prior to program date and a minimum of eight participants is required for the program to be held.

Take advantage of the great weather at this two-day JBSA-Lackland Gateway Hills Championship. It is the third event of the 2019 Gateway Cup Series with an individual stroke play format. First Steps is a non-competitive, instructional and development program for all DOD children ages 3-5. Register at JBSA-Lackland Youth Programs, building 8420 on Selfridge Ave., Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Parents must attend the orientation on April 25, 6 p.m. at the Youth Programs' gym. The season runs April 29 to June 6. First Steps teaches fundamentals of baseball in harmony with the gross motor movements of preschool and early school-age children. Parents are required to participate as an extension of the instructor.

This tournament will be singles match only and will be played in double elimination format. Located at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston Jimmy Brought Fitness Center. Day 1: Scramble & Day 2: Shamble

This two-person event will have 7-9 a.m. start times. Both days are preflighted based on GHIN handicaps. Lunch is served after the first round Sunday, and a drawing is conducted Saturday during play where golfers have a chance to win golf merchandise. Participants who place in this tournament receive a gift card that can be used in the pro shop for golf merchandise; if the pro shop does not have a desired item, it can be ordered.

The Skylark aquatic center hold a special Easter egg hunt for youth ages 5-11. Cost is $2 per participant. There will be a visit from the Easter bunny and kids will receive a prize. The JBSA-Lackland Gateway Club hosts an evening of dining and entertainment by DJ LJU in the Fiesta Ballroom on April 23rd from 5-7 p.m. The price for members is $12.50 and for nonmembers is $15.50.

The JBSA-Fitness and Sports is hosting an inter-service tournament. The top 17 military teams in the nation to compete for the National Military Championship held at the Chaparral and Warhawk Fitness Centers on JBSA-Lackland and at the Jimmy Brought Fitness Center at Fort Sam Houston. Only the toughest will survive and remain unpainted. ReCon Paintball is free at Lackland Outdoor Recreation on April 27. Games include, Capture the Flag, Attack and Defend and Protect the President. 502 FSS and USAA present the 6th Annual JBSA Half Marathon. This event takes place April 28 at 7:30 a.m. at the JBSA-Randolph Heritage Park. All paid participants will be given a commemorative t-shirt and all finishers will be given a medal. Refreshments and Brats will be available after the race (while supplies last). This run is designed for active duty, varsity-level athletes who are actively training.
